The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) was established on 01/06/2005 and is an indispensable component of the institution’s structure. The IQAC strives to effectuate the objectives of quality enrichment and escalation. Through the years, the IQAC has cultivated a design for a cognizant, persistent and assiduous enhancement of the performance of the college, derived process and systems for warranting that the aims of the IQAC as advocated by NAAC are complied with. The IQAC of the College endeavours to deliver noteworthy and pertinent inputs for creating avenues which would lead to academic excellence and perfection. The IQAC seeks to unfold techniques and processes for assuring prompt, dynamic and avant-garde performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks as well as optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching, learning and evaluation. The Cell ensures the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure. It aims to develop quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution as well as suggest measures to calibrate improvements and initiatives in the different programmes of the college.
The IQAC spearheads the conduct of the internal and external Academic Audit of the departments, which promotes quality, accountability and transparency. Such Academic Audits facilitate the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
The IQAC coordinates with the Office of the Dean of Academic Affairs the process of restructuring the syllabus to create a progressive curriculum that is in tune with the demands of the time.
An effective feedback system has been developed to assist the feedback process to monitor the quality and effectiveness of the policies and processes of the institution. In order to systematically fulfill the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance of the academic excellence of St. Albert’s College Autonomous, the Office of the Dean (Quality Assurance) has been constituted with the following members:
