Target 3.5 listed under SDG 3 in the UN Website “Strengthen the prevention and treatment of substance abuse, including narcotic drug abuse and harmful use of alcohol”. Similarly target 3.6 says “By 2020, halve the number of global deaths and injuries from road traffic accidents” The targets of SDG 3 cover and focus on various aspects of healthy life and healthy lifestyle.
The AIM Initiative -An awareness programme regarding road safety and drug use was conducted at queens walk way kochi on the 27 th of March ,2023 between 6-8 PM. Students of AIM led by Shyam Das, Arul Jyothy, Lida Mary Mathew, Deneil were instrumental in the execution of this awareness drive. Around 120 students participated in the programme. Central police station SI Shalima ma’am and Vanitha police station SI Annie ma’am also joined and administered the pledge regarding road safety. As part of the awareness programme a street play was conducted by the students of St Albert’s college. A flash mob with 45 students and musical band performance were also conducted. Rev. Dr. Antony Thoppil (Chairman & Manager of St Albert’s College), Sushma Netra (Celebrity) also joined the awareness drive..
