Season’s Greetings

The Christmas celebration @ AIM was held on December 6, 2014. The Day started with our Manager Fr. Antony Arackal placing the infant Jesus in the crib and giving the Christmas message. The highlight of the Christmas celebrations was a visit to the House of Providence by the Albertian family. This visit was an eye opener to many as their initial enthusiasm turned into a whole different feeling during the visit. A small entertainment programme was presented by the students in which the inmates also happily joined in the songs with joy and cheer. Our Director Dr.Rajagopala Nair delivered the Christmas message and Christmas gifts were also distributed to them. Later, the students in groups interacted with the elders and many of them had tears in their eyes when they recounted their past stories. It was so hard to believe that people you care for abandon you one day as most of them were suffering from pain and loneliness. The visit was a memorable, valuable and learning experience to all as it reinforced the need to spend time with our elders and to love and respect them throughout their life.

The Albertian family later gathered together and gifts were exchanged among the Christmas friends.
